The Generalitat Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames of a garbage truck that broke out around eleven at night on the Ronda del Coral, in Llafranc, municipality of Palafrugell. For unknown reasons, the waste collection vehicle began to burn while it was parked.
Two fire crews were dispatched to the incident site. The personnel managed to extinguish the flames and subsequently emptied the vehicle's waste to fully put out the fire among the debris and prevent any re-ignition. The fire affected the entire truck.
The extinguishing service was concluded an hour and a half after their intervention. The incident resulted in no injuries.
