Jonny Rogers claims victory at the 36th Palamós International Optimist Trophy

British sailor Jonny Rogers has been crowned champion of the 36th Palamós International Optimist Trophy after a decisive performance during the final day of racing in Palamós.

The event gathered 360 sailors from 23 countries. Despite a slow start due to lack of wind, the organization managed to complete six races over the weekend. Rogers finished ahead of Brazil's Manuel Bragança and USA's Briggs Kossman. In the women's category, Anhieshka Madonich from Ukraine took the top spot on the podium.
The Spanish team won the 20 Nations Cup, with Nicolás Bastard finishing as the top national sailor in fifth place overall. The trophy ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Palamós, Maria Puig, and the President of the Club Nàutic Costa Brava Vela Palamós, Eduard Sallés.
