Casa Albatros will be the festival's central hub, offering lindy hop and solo jazz classes, live concerts, competitions, and exhibitions. This year, the event extends to various neighborhoods of Palafrugell as part of the municipal community revitalization project.
As a new feature, free introductory solo jazz sessions have been scheduled. La Sauleda will host one session on September 5th, and Mas Mascort the following day, both starting at 11:30 AM and open to all participants, regardless of prior experience.
The festival will boast significant international participation, with groups coming from Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Hungary. An increase in participants from various regions of Spain is also anticipated, including dancers from Barcelona, Madrid, Mallorca, and the Basque Country.
Classes will be led by instructors and dancers of different generations and backgrounds, exploring various ways to interpret lindy hop and solo jazz. Evening parties will feature live performances by bands such as Shirt Tail Stompers and the debutants Sentimental Gentlemen.
Swim Out Costa Brava will continue its traditional dance competitions and showcases, alongside a market area dedicated to dance-related products, fashion, and accessories. Residents registered in Palafrugell will receive a substantial discount on tickets purchased at the box office.
The event is organized by the association Windy Hoppers, with support from the Palafrugell City Council and the Girona Provincial Council.
