The documentary series 'Gent amb DO', driven by INCAVI and presented by Empar Moliner, will premiere on TV3 on October 11 to showcase the diversity of Catalan wines and wine regions.

The Government of Catalonia, through the Minister of Agriculture, Òscar Ordeig, and the director of INCAVI, Joan Gené, has presented 'Gent amb DO', a new documentary series aiming to bring Catalan wine culture closer to the public.
The production, which will premiere on Sunday, October 11 at 11:55 PM on TV3 and will have a weekly broadcast, will tour the twelve Catalan wine appellations. It will also be available on the digital platform 3Cat.
Minister Ordeig highlighted that the program seeks to "explain, educate, and ensure people get to know and value what is right on their doorstep," and called for the content to have a reach beyond television broadcasting, promoting it on social media and at events.
Over twelve episodes, 'Gent amb DO' will explore the landscapes, history, gastronomy, and identity of each wine region, through conversations with winegrowers, producers, and other key figures.
Joan Gené emphasized the goal of bringing the reality of Catalan vineyards and wine closer to the public and recognizing the work of those who keep this heritage alive.
The series reinforces the Catalan wine sector, which has received extraordinary measures to balance the market and address drought. Initiatives such as the revival of the Mostra de Vins i Caves de Catalunya and Setmana del Vi Català also aim to highlight the work of industry professionals.
Furthermore, the Department of Agriculture, through Prodeca, will participate in the European project DNA-EU, funded with 1.72 million euros, to promote Catalan wines in the United Kingdom between 2027 and 2029.
