The new project 'Contes fantàstics', featuring approximately 300 students from plastic arts, performing arts, and vocational training programs, can be enjoyed from October 8th to 18th as part of the 59th edition of the Sitges – International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia. This marks the fourth experience managed by the Department of Education and Vocational Training in collaboration with the festival.
The event, taking place for the first time at the Espai Joan Tarrida, will be open to all visitors in Sitges. The central theme is the storytelling project L’amagatall del Papu, which combines virtual reality, physical scenography, and Catalan narrative.
The main experience, designed by the Escola d’Art Deià in Barcelona, will allow visitors to live adventures based on the mythology and traditional tales of the Catalan Countries using virtual reality headsets. It is recommended for ages 8 and up and is offered in morning and afternoon sessions, requiring prior reservation.
Additionally, visitors can explore an exhibition of artistic creations by the students, including fantastic characters, scenographies, and illustrations. There will also be urban dance workshops, street dance performances, and face-painting activities for younger attendees.
