More than 1,600 people took part in the fourth edition of the Correpoble race in Santa Cristina d'Aro last Saturday, an event that saw Palamós emerge victorious and raised funds for Palamós Hospital.

The competition, which promotes municipal representation, was held on a route of approximately 10 kilometers through the picturesque Ardenya massif. Participants proudly represented their respective municipalities in this now well-established sporting event.
In this year's edition, the municipality of Palamós secured the victory, while Begur received, for the fourth consecutive year, the symbolic wooden spoon. Despite this, the residents of Begur will have the opportunity to redeem themselves, as a draw has determined that they will host the fifth edition of the race next year.

The organization of the event also thanked the people who made this day of sport in the Baix Empordà possible.

One of the most notable novelties this year was the incorporation of a charitable aspect. For each registration, 2 euros were allocated to the “Com a casa” project, an initiative aimed at renovating and expanding the Medical Day Hospital at Palamós Hospital, with the goal of improving facilities for both patients and healthcare professionals.
