The Major Festival of Palafrugell, taking place until July 20th, features reinforced security, health assistance, and violence prevention measures.

Municipal services and security forces in Palafrugell are working in coordination to ensure safety during the Major Festival, which runs until July 20th. Special measures have been implemented to guarantee the smooth development of activities.
Notable are the Health Point and the Purple Point in the Festa de Nit (Night Festival) area, located on Rosa Laviña street. These points, operational during the four nights of the festival, will provide information, raise awareness, and offer support regarding sexist and LGTBI-phobic violence, as well as advice on health, sexuality, drug use, and screen time. Informative materials will also be distributed, and posters will indicate where to seek help.
The Local Police of Palafrugell will increase its activity with patrols in various festival areas to ensure public safety and order. The canine unit will conduct checks to prevent the sale and consumption of narcotic substances. Additionally, traffic, alcohol, and drug checks will be carried out, along with verifications of permits and alcohol sales to minors. This operation will be coordinated with the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan Police) and private security.
Regarding health assistance, the Red Cross will be present during the night events at the parking lot of INS Baix Empordà. A team consisting of an ambulance and a 4x4 vehicle with volunteer personnel will be ready to provide a rapid response if needed.
Finally, the City Council reminds the public of the available taxi service, with stands on Josep Puig i Cadafalch street and in Camp d’en Prats square.
