The Palafrugell City Council has expanded its community activities program in the neighborhoods, introducing new training, creative, and family support initiatives to foster citizen participation and strengthen community bonds.

The main objective of this initiative is to promote citizen engagement and enhance neighborly relations, while also encouraging the use of local municipal facilities. Activities will take place in various venues, including the social centers of Mas Mascort, Carrer Ample, and La Sauleda.
A notable new addition is the creation of a parenting group, scheduled every Thursday morning at the La Sauleda social center. This initiative, led by Glòria Villalba from the Mestimut entity, aims to serve as a meeting point for families with young children, offering support and a platform for sharing experiences.
For adults, an oil painting workshop will commence in June on Thursday afternoons at the Mas Mascort social center, directed by José Luis Escardó, aiming to provide a space for artistic learning and practice. Additionally, the Carrer Ample center will host a collage workshop during the summer months, facilitated by Eva Tormo in two weekly groups, encouraging creativity through the composition of diverse images and textures.
These new offerings complement the ongoing 'Viu el teu barri' (Live Your Neighborhood) program, which already includes cultural, educational, health promotion, and community engagement activities for all ages. The City Council thus reaffirms its commitment to strengthening community life and making municipal resources more accessible to residents. Detailed information on schedules and registration is available on the municipal website.
