This Sunday, Palafrugell will host the 64th edition of the Carroussel Costa Brava, an emblematic parade of the Spring Festivals recognized as a Traditional Festive Element of National Interest.

The parade, starting at 5:30 PM, will wind through the main streets of the municipality from Carrer de Torroella to Carrer Camí dels Plans. Participating groups have spent months constructing floats, designing costumes, and preparing choreography, making this celebration a spectacle that draws thousands of visitors.
The Carroussel Costa Brava is considered one of the most unique events in the Catalan festive calendar and a deeply rooted tradition in Palafrugell, showcasing the creativity, imagination, and teamwork of the participating groups.
The festive day will begin at dawn with the traditional Matines de La Tustarrada, which will extend through Palafrugell, Calella de Palafrugell, and Llafranc. At midday, Plaça Nova will host a sardana performance by L’Energia Cobla and the traditional Ball de la Bim Bam.
After the parade concludes, the celebration will continue at the parking lot of the Estadi Municipal Josep Pla i Arbonès with the Plantada de Carrosses (Float Display), allowing a close-up view of the creations. Subsequently, the Desenvelat (Unveiling) will take place, featuring a concert by the group COCO, the award ceremony, and a musical session.
The Carroussel Costa Brava represents the main symbol of the Spring Festivals and an expression of the community's commitment to a celebration that is part of the cultural and festive heritage of Palafrugell.
