The Palamós City Council has approved the distribution of nearly €29,000 in grants for five local entities to promote solidarity and cooperation projects within the municipality.

The financial aid, managed by the municipal Department of Cooperation and Solidarity, will be distributed among the five applicant organizations, each receiving the full amount requested. The call for applications, opened last May, considered various criteria for awarding the funds.
The organization Amb les teves mans will receive the largest amount, €6,500. Following closely, Juntos X Ellos will obtain approximately €6,000, a figure similar to what the Palamós Red Cross will receive. The Associació Socioeducativa Escolàpia will be granted €5,000, and Mans Unides de Palamós i Sant Joan will also receive €5,000.
The City Council highlighted that the evaluation criteria for awarding these grants include the entities' activity and social presence in Palamós, as well as their experience in cooperation projects. The project proposals, participation in solidarity efforts, particularly for children and youth, and collaboration among the municipality's various organizations were also taken into account.
