The town of Palamós has launched a community project to create a crochet Christmas tree, aiming to involve residents in a creative proposal and strengthen social ties during the holidays.

This call for participation is open to people of all ages, including those without prior experience in crochet, as basic training will be offered during the organized sessions. The goal is for the Christmas element to become a landmark in the municipality, while fostering social cohesion.
The initiative is supported by various local entities, such as the Palamós delegation of the Catalan Association of People Affected by Fibromyalgia and other Central Sensitization Syndromes, Càritas Interparroquial de Palamós i Sant Joan, and the municipal delegation of the Oncolliga Foundation. The Palamós City Council also collaborates, supporting this inclusive and participatory proposal.
To kick off the project, an open meeting has been called for this Thursday afternoon at the Càritas premises. During this gathering, the initiative's operation will be explained, and working groups will be organized. The tree's creation will be carried out collectively over the coming weeks, with weekly sessions dedicated to making the pieces.
