The head of the opposition in Palamós, Maria Teresa Ferrés, has strongly criticized the local government's management of the new waste collection system this February.

The Som-hi per Palamós representative stated that the municipal government lacks a clear schedule for a contract worth seven million euros per year. Ferrés argued that implementing such a major change without proper planning is unacceptable for the town's administration.

"This is not how things work; we demand much more rigor in the management and planning of this and all City Council issues."

Beyond waste management, Ferrés highlighted concerns regarding the Local Police workforce and the need for more parking spaces in the city center. She also urged the council to finalize industrial land projects pending since 2008.
