This initiative seeks more efficient and environmentally friendly management. To facilitate residents' adaptation to the new model, the council has scheduled various informative sessions, aimed at residents of each area of the town.
During these meetings, attendees will be able to collect the necessary materials for the new system, including bins, keychains, and informative leaflets with separation guidelines.
Sessions will begin on Monday, May 4, at 7 PM at Ca la Pruna, for residents of the Old Town. The following day, Tuesday, May 5, the meeting will be at the Sports Pavilion, also at 7 PM, for residents of Pals village. On Wednesday, May 6, the Sports Pavilion will host residents of Masos de Pals, Llevadora, and Disseminats. In both cases, material distribution will start at 5 PM.
On Thursday, May 7, the session will take place at Ca la Pruna for residents of Mas Tomasi. Finally, on Saturday, May 9, at 10 AM, an open session has been scheduled for all those who could not attend previous calls.
The council has moved the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions to the Sports Pavilion to ensure greater comfort and accommodate the expected capacity. Residents are reminded of the importance of attending to learn about collection schedules, the separation of different fractions, and the operation of the new domestic containers.
Those who cannot attend the sessions will be able to collect materials at Ca la Pruna between May 11 and May 29. The schedule will be Wednesdays from 10 AM to 2 PM, Fridays from 3 PM to 7 PM, and, exceptionally, Saturday, May 16, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Regarding the beach area, informative sessions will be held this summer, as the implementation of the Door-to-Door system in this sector is planned for next year.
“"Pals recycles, open the door to change! Let's make it easy, let's do it well!"
With these slogans, the municipality invites citizens to join this new selective collection model, which represents a step forward in waste management.
