Young creator Ainhoa Gonzalez Marmol presents SHOKUNIN, an artistic proposal based on the Japanese concept of shokunin, referring to constant dedication to a craft and respect for the creative process and materials. The exhibition explores the boundaries of tattooing, taking the line beyond the skin and transforming surfaces like leather and everyday objects into new artistic mediums.
The exhibition includes sketches, tests, and pieces resulting from the author's daily practice and artistic research. According to Gonzalez Marmol herself, the exhibition is an exploration of the creative process and the constant learning that accompanies any artistic craft.
This initiative is part of the Arteca project, promoted by the Palafrugell Library. This service offers free exhibition and loan of artworks, promoting artists linked to the Empordà region and bringing contemporary art closer to the public. Arteca's collection currently holds nearly 170 works across various disciplines.
