The Baix Empordà region faced numerous incidents this Sunday as a severe wind storm with gusts over 100 km/h caused material damage and traffic disruptions.

In Sant Feliu de Guíxols, fallen trees blocked Via del Tren street. Traffic was temporarily restricted at the main entrances but has since reopened on the Girona road and in the Sant Amanç area.
In la Bisbal d'Empordà, the storm damaged a traffic light and restaurant windows. Safety concerns led to the cancellation of the Festa de l'Arbre and the show Petit Break by Brodas Bros at the Teatre Mundial.
A large tree collapsed in Palafrugell at Josep Pallach Square around noon. Local Police and Civil Protection cleared the debris, which also damaged a street lamp, allowing traffic to resume shortly after.
