Approximately forty swimmers participated in a swim in Palamós to demand greater protection against the increase in recreational boats along the Catalan coast.

The event, jointly organized by SOS Costa Brava and the Club Natació Palamós, took place from Cala del Castell to Cala Senià. The aim was to raise awareness about the safety issues faced by swimmers in open waters.
Jordi Cruz, spokesperson for the environmental group, called for clearer regulations to ensure a safety distance between recreational boats and swimmers, similar to existing rules for divers.
