The Torroella de Montgrí Town Council has launched a participatory process this March to gather public input before drafting a new landscape protection ordinance for both rural and urban areas.

The goal is to update current regulations by including the perspectives of residents, businesses, and local experts. The new rules will define clear criteria for building facades, construction materials, colors, and the placement of urban furniture.

"Landscape is a key element of collective identity, and its regulation must incorporate diverse views to build a shared framework."

Jordi Oliver · Councillor for Territory and Sustainability
The schedule includes a meeting with local shopkeepers on March 18 at the Museu de la Mediterrània, an online session for professionals on March 24, and a public workshop on April 27.
