The emergency response team has prevented residents from returning to their properties for safety reasons. While firefighting crews work in the area, those affected have had to remain away from their homes, following instructions from police forces controlling access to the affected perimeter.
The main concern for the neighbors is now the livestock they had to leave behind in a hurry during the evacuation. Many left with few belongings, leaving behind animals such as chickens, goats, and horses, and they fear that high temperatures could put their survival at risk.
Despite access restrictions, some residents have attempted to reach their properties to feed their animals, a task made difficult by the presence of fire trucks moving through the area to combat the flames.
