One of the most notable effects of the storm is the rising of rivers in the Girona regions, due to the intensity of the rain and the saturation of the ground. The Daró River as it passes through La Bisbal d'Empordà is flowing at over 500 m3/s, and authorities are monitoring its evolution due to the risk of overflow.
In the city of Girona, the Onyar River also presents an abundant flow. The Girona City Council has asked nearby businesses, especially those on Carrer del Carme and the Barri Vell (Old Quarter), to close. The Palau de Fires has also been set up as a shelter for residents who need to evacuate parking lots or ground floors.
The maritime storm has registered waves up to 6 meters, with a maximum peak of 10 meters at Cap de Begur.
The strong maritime storm has caused damage across the Catalan coast. In Tamariu, part of the municipality of Palafrugell, access roads are cut off and the stream flows strongly into the sea. Street flooding has also been reported in Llançà and damage to coastal infrastructure in Badalona.
Regarding snowfall, the Eastern Pyrenees are accumulating significant depths. In the Barcelona Pre-Pyrenees, specifically at Rasos de Peguera, snow has been falling non-stop since Friday.
