The highest municipal representative of Palafrugell has refuted some of the environmental entity's claims, especially those related to cases that already have judicial resolutions. As explained, the council is diligently executing these sentences, as is appropriate for any public administration.
Furthermore, it has emphasized that the questioned projects have undergone evaluation by competent bodies. These include the urban planning services of the Generalitat de Catalunya and, in certain cases, the cultural heritage department, ensuring they adhere to the criteria established by the current planning.
Regarding other initiatives, such as the Rubió i Tudurí gardens or the Pineda del Canadell, the municipal representative has clarified that they are in an initial development phase and no definitive actions have yet been executed. In this regard, the local government has committed to minimizing the urban impact of these projects and to follow the guidelines of coastal planning, as well as the technical recommendations of the relevant administrations.
“"The City Council will continue to work within the parameters of current planning, with the aim of reconciling urban development with the protection of the territory."
