The Palamós City Council approved joining the Girona tariff integration system, significantly lowering public transport costs starting in December 2025.

The Palamós City Council unanimously ratified its incorporation into the tariff integration system for mobility in the Girona regions during the last municipal plenary session. This measure has a direct impact on users' wallets: for instance, a public transport trip between Palamós and Girona drops from costing more than 7 euros to just 1.65 euros.
The new system allows users to use a single transport ticket, such as the T-10 or the T-Jove, to travel with different operators (urban bus, interurban bus, or train). Furthermore, the T-16 is introduced, guaranteeing free and unlimited mobility for young people aged 4 to 16 within the municipality and to neighboring towns on the Central Costa Brava such as Calonge, Palafrugell, Platja d'Aro, or Sant Feliu de Guíxols.
This change facilitates the combined use of bus and train, promoting simpler and more sustainable mobility, with a single valid ticket throughout the demarcation. Operators included in the network are Moventis, AMPSA, TEISA, Rodalies, and the urban services of Girona and Figueres.
Joining this network, managed by the Girona Territorial Mobility Authority (ATM), will require an annual contribution of just over 52,000 euros from the Palamós City Council. According to municipal sources, the main objective is to encourage public transport use, reduce private vehicle usage, and combat climate change.
