The meeting, promoted by the Economic Promotion and Tourism Department, brought together companies and professionals from the sector at Galeries Carme. This space facilitated an open dialogue to share needs and future proposals, with the aim of improving visitor experience and the overall functioning of the destination.
During the session, topics considered priorities by the sector were addressed, such as parking availability, security, and the possibility of establishing a regular connection with the Balearic Islands. These points are key to optimizing Palamós's appeal.
The session also included the presentation of innovative data-driven tourism management tools, such as the tourism intelligence system and the DATUR platform. These technologies allow for the analysis of visitor behavior and facilitate more informed decision-making, contributing to more efficient and sustainable tourism management.
Another central aspect has been tourism accessibility, with a dedicated session on the need to adapt the offer to an increasingly diverse reality. It was emphasized that improving accessibility not only benefits the visitor experience but also opens the door to new market segments and prevents the loss of potential clients.
This initiative is part of the municipal strategy linked to the sustainable tourism plan and the recent recognition of Palamós as a smart tourist destination, which firmly commits to innovation, sustainability, and efficient management. The council has highlighted that this meeting is the starting point for a continuous collaboration process with tourism professionals.
