Pals awards €11.9 million waste contract incorporating door-to-door collection

The solid waste collection and street cleaning service will be managed by the company Servitransfer, S.L. for the next eight years.

The Pals Town Council has awarded the new waste collection and street cleaning contract to Servitransfer, S.L. for €11.9 million, introducing the progressive implementation of the door-to-door selective collection system.

The Pals Town Council has formalized the awarding of the new contract for solid urban waste collection, transport of different fractions, street cleaning, and cleaning of beach accesses. The total cost amounts to 11,952,137.86 euros.
The successful bidder is the company Servitransfer, S.L., which will manage the service for the next eight years, with the possibility of a one-year extension.

"The change in model will allow increasing recycling rates, improving waste separation, and moving towards a more efficient and sustainable management, in line with the municipality's environmental objectives and current regulations."

The progressive implementation of the door-to-door selective collection system will begin in the coming months. This measure aims to guarantee the continuity and improvement of an essential service for Pals.
