The fiscal ordinances project for 2027, presented in a public hearing on November 2nd, proposes to keep the Property Tax (IBI), the Vehicle Tax (IVTM), and the fire prevention fee frozen at 2026 levels. The IBI tax rate will remain at 0.767, and coefficients for the economic activities tax (IAE) will also be unchanged.
The waste fee will be modified to align with the model of the Diputació de Barcelona. The fixed part will be divided into three zones based on proximity and number of homes, with fixed fees lower than in 2026. The variable part will also be adjusted according to the Diputació's guidelines, with different amounts for organic and residual waste bins based on container usage.
Reductions for environmental and social criteria will be maintained. Certified composting can receive a 95% reduction on the organic waste variable fee, and households with incomes below the minimum interprofessional wage can apply for a 56% reduction on the fixed fee. Reductions will also apply to undeveloped plots, and a separate container will be available for sanitary textiles for households with babies or medical needs.
The price of water will increase by an average of 3.44% due to higher purchase costs for the City Council, both from Aigües Ter Llobregat (ATL) and from water purchased in Sant Andreu de la Barca to supply Can Sunyer and Valldaina.
Finally, a new fee for examination rights in the City Council's selection processes will be established, ranging from 15 to 35 euros depending on the category of the advertised position. The tax proposal will be submitted to the municipal plenary in the coming days for initial approval.
