Kiswa, who was born measuring 47 centimeters and weighing 3 kilograms, is the daughter of Zarak and Komal, residents of El Prat de Llobregat municipality. Both the mother and the baby are reported to be in perfect health after a normal delivery.
Although Kiswa was the first born at the hospital, the first baby resident of L’Hospitalet for the year might be Thais, born at 00:49 AM on January 1 at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, to parents residing in L’Hospitalet. Thais weighed 3.4 kilograms.
Regarding the first Catalan baby of 2026, it was Ander Muñoz Adan, born in Sabadell at 00:38 AM at Hospital Parc Taulí, replicating the coincidence from the previous year.

Four babies were born simultaneously at midnight on New Year's Eve nationwide: Elena in Barbastro (Huesca), Coral in Ourense, and Erik and María in Ciudad Real.

The Hospital General de L'Hospitalet is a reference center for maternity services and offers postpartum support services such as Lactabé, a support group formed by nurses, assistants, and midwives who accompany mothers with weekly meetings.
