Founded by health psychologist Salvy Lorenzo, with over a decade of clinical experience in treating eating disorders and trauma, Seishin was born with a clear conviction: treating EDs in isolation does not work.
When the relationship with food becomes a constant source of distress, the problem is rarely nutritional. Behind binge eating, extreme restriction, or anxiety before every meal lie emotional processes, learned patterns, and nervous system responses that no diet can resolve on its own. Seishin Psiconutrición was created precisely to address that root cause.
Based in Gavà (Barcelona) with online consultations available throughout Spain and internationally, Seishin is a center specializing in psycho-nutrition, integrating clinical psychology, nutrition, and somatic therapy within a single therapeutic space. This care model has proven more effective in recent years than isolated approaches for treating conditions such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, ARFID, or obesity with an emotional component.
An Interdisciplinary Team of Specialized Professionals
What sets Seishin apart from other centers is the depth of its team. The clinic has ten specialized professionals working in coordination: health psychologists, dietitians-nutritionists, a psychologist with a master's in oncology and sports psychology, and three therapeutic yoga instructors specializing in trauma and the nervous system.
Leading the project is Salvy Lorenzo, CEO and health psychologist specializing in EDs and trauma, trained in EMDR and clinical hypnotherapy. She is joined by Cristina Artamendi, a psychologist and social worker specializing in family systemic therapy with extensive experience with adolescents; Judith Molina and Antonio González-Adalid, health psychologists trained in EMDR, hypnotherapy, and neuropsychology; and Alice Mascia, a specialist in somatic and relational therapy.
In the nutrition area, Alba Domínguez Valverde and Rocío Jiménez cover dietary-nutritional intervention specialized in EDs and obesity.
The somatic therapy area, a differentiating element of the Seishin model, includes Luz Muñoz, Pía Paterno, and Victoria Villalba, instructors specializing in therapeutic yoga, yin yoga for trauma, and nervous system regulation.
A Methodology That Works from the Root
Seishin's model is based on a premise: eating disorders and food anxiety are not resolved with more nutritional information or willpower. They require understanding what is happening on an emotional, bodily, and relational level.
Therefore, treatment at Seishin combines individual psychotherapy—using techniques such as EMDR, clinical hypnosis, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or strategic brief therapy—clinical nutritional intervention, and somatic therapy sessions through therapeutic yoga. An approach particularly suited for women, adolescents, and families who have spent years trapped in the cycle of dieting, guilt, and relapse.
The clinic offers in-person services at its office located at Carrer del General Josep Moragues, 6, Gavà (Barcelona) and provides online sessions in Spanish, Catalan, English, and Italian.
