The initiative targets individuals over 60 years of age and those officially recognized with a disability rating of 33% or higher. Passengers with disabilities requiring an attendant will receive a special card marked «+ companion», enabling a second person to travel without charge.
Applications can now be submitted in person at the Citizen Attention Office (OAC) using a specific form, or online via the municipal electronic headquarters. The OAC operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Notably, during August, afternoon hours are restricted to Wednesdays.
To complete the process, applicants must provide their ID (DNI) and documentation verifying their age or disability status. Once the application is formalized, individuals will be notified when they can collect their card at the OAC.
Starting in September, the Casal de la Gent Gran (Senior Center), located at Rambla del Torrentet, 8, will host an information and support point to assist with the online application for the T-Social.
“"The free service aims to make transport more accessible for the groups who use it most and to maintain the connection between neighborhoods and the urban center."
For further information, interested individuals can visit the OAC, email informacio@abrera.cat, or call 93 770 03 25.
