The 2026 Tour de France will commence on July 4 in Barcelona, and the following day, July 5, it will pass through Sant Just Desvern as part of its route through the Collserola area. This presents a unique opportunity to position Catalonia on the international map of sports and tourism.
To date, only three editions of the Tour have taken place in Catalonia, with the last one being in 2009. The 2026 edition not only marks the return of the competition to the region but also an occasion to highlight the Barcelona counties as a prominent destination for sustainable tourism and quality of life.
