Cervelló Approves 12.9 Million Euro Budget for 2026

Cervelló City Council will allocate over 12.9 million euros to investments in urban planning, security, and social welfare for the upcoming fiscal year.

The Cervelló City Council has presented its budget for 2026, amounting to 12,966,410.28 euros, a 9.2% increase from the previous year, with a strong focus on urban planning, security, and social welfare.

The Plenary Hall of the Cervelló City Council hosted the presentation of the municipal accounts for 2026, during a public hearing led by Mayor Montse Canas. This budget represents a significant increase of over one million euros, reflecting a 9.2% growth compared to the previous fiscal year.
The new budgetary allocations focus on strategic areas such as urban development, public road improvements, and environmental protection. Additionally, funds allocated to citizen security and social welfare will be reinforced, aiming to enhance the quality of life for Cervelló residents.

Among the most notable investments are projects to optimize connectivity between the urban core and residential areas, as well as the modernization of infrastructure in industrial estates. Improvements in services for residential areas and the upgrade of sports and educational facilities are also planned, including the installation of security cameras, the renewal of waste containers, and enhancements to the sports hall and field, in addition to the expansion of the nursery school.
Other initiatives include the creation of a new pedestrian crossing at La Resclosa, the pedestrianization of Rambla Tarradellas, the implementation of an additional on-demand bus service, and the renovation of the lighting system on Carrer Major. These budgets will be debated and voted on during an extraordinary plenary session scheduled for next Monday, March 30.
