A forest fire that broke out this Sunday in Sant Andreu de la Barca has forced the lockdown of residents in the Colònia Palau and Clavell street areas for safety reasons.

The fire alert was received at 13:35 on Sunday. According to the Bombers de la Generalitat, the flames originated near Via de l'Esport and are spreading upwards through Serrat d'en Canals with high intensity.
The firefighting operation currently includes 11 ground units and 5 aerial assets. Crews are prioritizing water drops on the left flank, which is the most active part of the fire.
Given the situation, Protecció Civil has activated the ES-Alert system to request that residents in the affected areas remain indoors with doors and windows closed, following official instructions at all times.
The 112 emergency line has received nearly 200 calls from citizens reporting the smoke. Despite the initial intensity, authorities have indicated that the fire's progress is favorable.
