Fire in El Prat de Llobregat Stabilized

Firefighters are monitoring the area to prevent reignition of the blaze that burned approximately 4 hectares of scrubland near the B-250 road.

A fire that broke out at midday in scrubland near the entry and exit routes of Barcelona, in the municipality of El Prat de Llobregat, has been stabilized and contained.

Firefighter crews remain in the area dousing the ground to prevent reignition of the fire, which affected approximately 4 hectares of reeds and scrub. The fire broke out near the B-250 road.
According to information from Oscar Pardo of the newspaper l’Opinió and confirmed by Bombers de la Generalitat to el TOT, 3 aerial and 10 ground units were deployed. The alert was received at 2:29 PM.
Due to the fire, the B-250 road had to be initially closed. One lane of the B-20 between Cornellà and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat in the direction of Barcelona was also closed.
No injuries have been reported as a result of this fire.
