The Futbol Sala Sant Sadurní cadet team has achieved a historic milestone by qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Copa Catalunya, having overcome six knockout rounds and remaining in the league promotion race.

The current season is proving exceptional for futsal in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, with the FS Sant Sadurní cadet team emerging as one of the main protagonists. Under the guidance of coach Jordi Varias, the team has shown outstanding performance in the Copa Catalunya, where they have already successfully navigated six elimination rounds.
On their journey to the quarter-finals, the team from Sant Sadurní has defeated opponents such as Martorell, Escola Daina, Esparreguera, Sant Andreu de la Barca, Athlètic Esparreguera, and, in the round of sixteen, Pallejà. The match against Pallejà was particularly intense, with an initial 0-2 lead for the Baix Llobregat side, which FS Sant Sadurní overturned with goals from Miquel Roig and Víctor García, forcing a penalty shootout that they won 5-3.
In the next stage of the Copa Catalunya, FS Sant Sadurní will face one of the big names in Catalan futsal, either FC Barcelona, Les Corts, Manresa, or Indústries Garcia. This tie is already considered a historic moment for the club, regardless of the final outcome.
In addition to their cup success, the cadet team is also having a strong league campaign, currently holding second place in Group 6 of Segona Catalana. With 43 points, they are just two points behind the leaders, Masquefa (45 points), and have a clear aspiration for promotion to Primera Catalana. Following them are Odena (40), Vedruna Puigcerdà (36), and Athlètic Esparreguera (36).
This golden year for the Sant Sadurní d'Anoia club could become even better if they achieve promotion and advance further in the Copa Catalunya, solidifying a memorable season for the promising young futsal players of the region.
