The capital of Baix Llobregat has seen an improvement compared to the month of August, with a reduction of 72 people out of work, when the rate stood at 7.23%. However, compared to the same month last year, unemployment has increased by 48 people.
At the regional level of Baix Llobregat, a decrease in unemployment has also been recorded, closing the month of September with 32,566 unemployed people and a rate of 7.7%. There were 243 fewer unemployed than in August and 141 more than in September 2025.
In the province of Barcelona, the number of unemployed people in September was 246,812, equivalent to a registered unemployment rate of 8.5%. This figure has decreased by 623 people compared to August but has increased by 5,820 people compared to last year.
Finally, at the Catalonia level, in the month of September, 330,072 people were registered as unemployed, 604 more than in August and 8,000 more than in September 2025.
