The Martorell Town Council and the Barcelona Provincial Council organized a seven-kilometer hike this Thursday, March 12, bringing together 160 senior citizens from across the region.

Starting at the Can Cases Municipal Sports Pavilion, participants from Martorell, Esplugues de Llobregat, els Hostalets de Pierola, and Cardedeu explored the town's natural heritage, including the Lead Mines and Griminella Tower.

"Today they had a wonderful day to enjoy the natural environment. Many visitors consider Martorell only as a place to pass through, when in fact it has a very attractive landscape."

Xavier Fonollosa · Mayor of Martorell
The event concluded with a lunch and dance at El Progrés. The program, designed for people aged 63 to 83, will continue on March 20 in Cardedeu and end in Santa Maria de Palautordera next May.
