The decision, announced this Thursday, September 3, 2026, follows events that have led to the loss of the necessary trust to continue exercising these responsibilities.
The Citizen Security area will be directly assumed by the Mayor's Office, while Civil Protection will be handled by councilor Marc Sanz. Councilor Andrés Palacios will retain the delegation for the Mobility Area.
According to municipal sources, the modification is organizational and aims to ensure the proper functioning of the municipal government, service coordination, and the exercise of public responsibilities with the required rigor and trust.
