The Ordinary Plenary Session, held last Thursday, began with a segment dedicated to citizens' questions and suggestions, highlighting the council's commitment to public participation. Regarding economic matters, the municipal budget modification for 2026 was initially approved, aiming to adjust forecasts to the municipality's current needs.
In addition to budget adjustments, a material error in the provisional approval agreement for fiscal ordinance modifications was rectified. In the area of Mayoralty and General Services, changes were approved concerning the remunerations and allowances received by corporation members, as well as the economic allocations for municipal political groups.
Concerning the Territory area, a specific modification to the ordinance regulating the opening of establishments was approved. This measure aims to facilitate and regulate commercial activity in Sant Just Desvern, ensuring a clear regulatory framework.
The Plenary also debated and approved several motions presented by the different municipal groups. Notable among these was the initiative by Junts per Catalunya-Sant Just Desvern to create a social and nightlife leisure space. Proposals from Sant Just en Comú were also approved, including a motion of solidarity with the Venezuelan people and another to revitalize children's and family spaces in local parks.
