The regional football season culminates this weekend with the second leg of the promotion playoffs to the men's 3rd Catalan League. Three teams from the city of L'Hospitalet have the chance to end the season celebrating a new promotion: Atlético Marina, EJ Can Pi, and FE L'Hospitalet Atlètic.
Atlético Marina is in the best position. After a resounding 7-0 victory in the first leg against Areté FC, the return match is expected to be a formality. Barring any major surprises, these L'Hospitalet players will be a new 3rd Catalan League team this Saturday.
EJ Can Pi faces the second leg with more uncertainty, despite being considered favorites. The first leg ended in a 3-3 draw against AC Daumar, and they will now aim to secure the win at home, at the Municipal del Gornal. Promotion would mean a return to the 3rd Catalan League for Juan Vílchez's squad, just one season after being relegated.
Meanwhile, FE L'Hospitalet Atlètic is the only L'Hospitalet team required to come from behind away from home. The team coached by Dani Barnés visits Vista Alegre C with a 3-4 deficit from the first leg. The Foundation has organized a bus to take fans to Castelldefels, hoping to celebrate promotion upon their return to L'Hospitalet.
The return matches for promotion to the 3rd Catalan League will take place this Saturday. Atlético Marina will play Areté FC (6 PM, CEM Marina Besòs), EJ Can Pi will host AC Daumar (6 PM, Municipal Gornal), and FE L'Hospitalet Atlètic will visit Vista Alegre C (4 PM, Can Vinader).
