The show Bailes improbables translates into movement a selection of diverse music and songs, going beyond flamenco to include other styles. The performance will take place at 7:00 PM.
Kathrin Engel, known to the local audience for her performances with Cofradía del Santo Cristo and the group Amor al arte, has dedicated 40 years of her life to flamenco. However, her artistic curiosity has led her to explore other dance disciplines since childhood, such as classical ballet and jazz.
Engel explained that her goal is to "translate into movement the music I listen to, whatever its type". In Bailes improbables, flamenco pieces like alegrias, tangos, and farrucas will be featured, alongside versions of the anti-Franco song Gallo rojo, gallo negro, a fragment from the soundtrack of the film Romeo and Juliet, and pop-rock music, among other surprises.
The artist describes the show as innovative, stating that "there is no common thread, no single theme". Nevertheless, she emphasizes that all pieces share the characteristic of being "music that I love, music that inspires me".
Tickets for Bailes improbables are priced at 8 euros and can be purchased at the theatre's box office before the performance.
