The mayor of Sant Esteve Sesrovires, Roser Brosed, has this morning withdrawn all governmental powers from councilor José Carlos Díaz, of the ARAses group, due to a "total loss of trust". The decision comes after the councilor questioned the management of the municipal secretariat and the selection process for a Local Police inspector during the plenary session.

The withdrawal of delegated powers follows the Security Councilor's expression of disagreement with the process to fill a Local Police inspector position and his questioning of the City Council's management during the questions and requests session of yesterday's ordinary Plenary. The councilor stated his intention to resign from his post, although he has not yet formally done so.
According to municipal sources, the mayor's decision is motivated by what she considers "a disloyalty from a member of the municipal government," as he did not provide prior notification before making accusations during the plenary session.
The mayor and the municipal group of the PSC have expressed their "full support for the City Council's management, as well as for all actions of the tribunal overseeing the opposition process." A report has been requested from the tribunal to detail the procedure's development and ensure the legal security of the opposition, aiming for maximum transparency.
The mayor has called for maximum responsibility from her government partner and a clear, immediate stance on the continuation of the pact, which is essential for the municipality's management stability.
