The land readjustment project for the Can Sunyer neighborhood has received final approval, marking a significant advancement towards the implementation of the sewage system and the completion of necessary urbanization works as per the law. This document outlines the financial contributions each plot will be required to make to move the project forward.
Shortly, each property will receive a notification, either electronically or by postal mail, detailing the provisional amount corresponding to the distribution of urbanization fees. This approval follows the initial project approval in the autumn of 2025 and the mandatory period for objections.
The City Council has announced that two informational meetings for residents will be convened in September, aiming to explain the process that is now beginning and to resolve any doubts.
Mayor Sergi Busquets highlighted the project's importance for Can Sunyer, acknowledging the doubts and varied opinions generated over the years. He emphasized the Council's commitment to acting with responsibility, transparency, and continuous dialogue with residents and the Can Sunyer Residents' Association, incorporating technically and legally feasible modifications.
With the approval of the land readjustment project, a new step is taken towards the execution of the sewage system and other essential works. A monitoring committee, including representatives from the Can Sunyer Residents' Association, will be established once the construction begins.
The mayor reiterated the City Council's commitment to continue working with dialogue, proximity, and transparency throughout the development of the works.
As a preliminary step, in the summer of 2024, the City Council approved the executive urbanization project for Can Sunyer, which determined the necessary works and their costs, incorporating improvement proposals from residents submitted in the spring of 2023.
