A group of students from the Catalan courses in Sant Joan Despí had their first cinematic experience in Catalan on October 15th, participating in the Gaudí Film Cycle at the Mercè Rodoreda Cultural Center.

The activity, promoted by the Catalan Film Academy with the support of the Sant Joan Despí City Council, brought local productions closer to the municipalities. For most attendees, it was the first time they had seen a film in Catalan on the big screen.
The chosen film was the documentary Balandrau, vent salvatge, an selection that received very positive feedback from the students. They particularly appreciated the inclusion of Catalan subtitles, seeing them as a key tool to reinforce language learning and foster group cohesion.
