The Jijonenca Ice Cream Shop in Sant Joan Despí has improved its customer service in Catalan after participating in the Comerços aprenents program, promoted by CPNL Baix Llobregat Centre. The training concluded on October 15th.

The establishment, a meeting point in the Eixample neighborhood, has successfully completed its participation in the program. The training sessions focused on acquiring basic linguistic skills for customer service, including greetings, farewells, numbers, prices, days of the week, and telling time. Specific doubts arising from the daily service have also been addressed.
The initiative is already showing results in the daily operations, with some regular customers now communicating in Catalan with the sales assistant. The ice cream shop thus joins other spaces in the municipality that promote the social use of the language.
This program, whose primary objective is to facilitate Catalan learning in local businesses, is supported by the Sant Joan Despí City Council and is part of the municipality's Catalan Promotion Plan.
