The electricity company has detailed to the council the actions carried out during the first months of the year, those currently underway, and future projects, aiming to enhance the quality, capacity, and reliability of the electricity supply in the municipality. This plan includes the creation of new medium-voltage infrastructure, modernization of transformation centers, improvements to the low-voltage grid, and projects to increase operational flexibility.
The meeting, held this summer, served to plan the investments that e-distribución, Endesa's grid subsidiary, is making in Sant Vicenç dels Horts. The meeting is part of the regular dialogue between the company and local councils to monitor regional needs and prioritize interventions that improve the electrical service.
Among the most notable actions is the installation of half a kilometer of new underground medium-voltage network in various streets and the Sant Boi road. In parallel, technological modernization and the installation of remote control systems for nine transformation centers are being carried out. These devices allow for remote control and operation of the grid, reducing response and outage times for customers by up to 20%.
Additionally, a new state-of-the-art low-voltage panel has been installed at the transformation center on Àngel Guimerà street, enhancing grid safety, reliability, and operational capacity. In the short term, the interconnection of several transformation centers is planned to increase flexibility and response capacity to incidents, along with the renewal of half a kilometer of low-voltage lines.
