The October Plenary of the Sant Vicenç dels Horts City Council is set to approve the LGBTIQA+ Local Plan 2026-2030, which will provide the council with a framework for developing, monitoring, and evaluating LGTBI+ policies. This session will also propose extending the collaboration agreement with the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB) to continue installing photovoltaic panels on the roofs of municipal buildings and facilities.
The LGBTIQA+ Local Plan stems from the council's commitment to equality and non-discrimination. Following a participatory process, the plan outlines strategic axes, general and specific objectives, and associated actions to promote municipal public policies on affective, sexual, and gender diversity, with an expected duration until 2030.
Regarding energy sustainability, a proposal will be made to extend by four years the agreement signed on December 12, 2022, with the AMB, as part of the Municipalities 100% Renewable by 2030 project. The goal is to improve energy efficiency and increase renewable energy generation in municipal buildings.
Additionally, during the Plenary, two proposals from municipal groups will be presented: one on the protection of pensions for individuals who have contributed for over 40 years, submitted by the groups PSC-Sant Vicenç en Positiu-Verds and Sant Vicenç en Comú Podem; and another on the metropolitan tax, presented by the group Fem Sant Vicenç.
The ordinary plenary session will take place this Thursday, October 22nd, at 6:30 PM in the Plenary Hall of the Casa de la Vila. It can be followed live on Ràdio Sant Vicenç and Sant Vicenç TV.
The next Public Hearing will be held on October 29th at 6 PM in the same hall, an open space for citizen contributions.
