An accident involving a van and a trailer has led to the closure of the AP-7 near Santa Oliva in the direction of Barcelona, causing a traffic collapse with queues of up to five kilometers and diversions onto alternative routes.

The incident, which occurred around 7:30 AM, resulted in the involved truck overturning and blocking both lanes of the highway. Additionally, a fuel leak was detected, requiring the intervention of nine units from the Bombers de la Generalitat to contain it.
The Medical Emergency System (SEM) attended to three individuals at the scene, although none were trapped inside the vehicles. The situation has caused significant traffic congestion in the Catalan road network, with four kilometers of queues on the AP-7 and the need to divert traffic onto the N-340 and C-32.
These diversions have overloaded the N-340, where five kilometers of traffic jams were reported between L'Arboç and Bellvei heading towards Barcelona, and three kilometers in El Vendrell towards the C-32. The incident severely impacted morning mobility in the area.
It is worth noting that the C-32 experienced a similar blockage on April 9, when another truck overturned at midday, cutting off traffic in both directions and losing its cargo towards Tarragona.
