The Calafell Town Council has started construction work at the Mercat Vell to create a new outdoor exhibition area for the historic carriages donated by the Raluy Legacy Circus.

The project focuses on the old loading dock on Carretera del Sanatori, which has been unused for years. Opera Catalonia SLU is carrying out the work with a budget of 53,513.57 euros, creating a direct link between the outdoor carriages and the indoor museum.
These original, fully restored carriages will allow visitors to experience what life was like inside circus caravans. The initiative is part of a broader agreement to establish both a museum and a circus school in Calafell, centralizing the Raluy family's heritage in one location.
