The Department of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition has tendered the works to build a new roundabout on the C-31 road in Cunit, aiming to improve road safety and mobility in the area.

Minister Sílvia Paneque highlighted that the new roundabout, with a budget of nearly 900,000 euros and a nine-month execution period, is designed to facilitate traffic flow at the intersection of the C-31 and the Santa Coloma road.
The new roundabout will have an external diameter of 40.5 meters. The works will also include tasks related to affected services, earthworks, vertical and horizontal signage, marking, drainage, environmental integration, and lighting. Construction is expected to commence next spring.
Furthermore, the Department is also in the tendering phase for works on the same C-31 in Cunit to implement 3 traffic light systems at pedestrian crossings and install 10 illuminated pedestrian panels at 5 crossings. This project, with a budget of approximately 300,000 euros, aims to enhance signage and traffic regulation for road safety, in coordination with the Cunit City Council.
