Emergency teams worked to empty the car park, which has a capacity for 50 vehicles and an area of 1,200 m2. At the time of the flooding, 30 cars were parked inside.
In addition to the affected car park, dozens of vehicles parked on the streets of Coma-ruga and Sant Salvador also suffered damage. Tow trucks were removing cars throughout Saturday, as the water had reached the engines.
Many owners tried to remove water from their vehicles with buckets, while others helplessly contemplated the damage on the affected avenues. In some areas, the water level rise has been historic, exceeding levels never seen before.
Although there is no official count, it is estimated that several dozen vehicles have been affected by the torrential rains in the area.
