Calafell La Menorquina defeated Reus Deportiu 4-2 this Thursday in the opening match of the Copa del Rey roller hockey tournament held in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia.

The match at the Ateneu Olympic Pavilion saw Calafell take the lead through Aleix Marimon after a VAR review awarded them a penalty. Despite early pressure from Reus, goalkeeper Martí Serra delivered a standout performance to keep the defending champions at bay.
A frantic second half saw Jero Garcia score twice for Calafell, effectively sealing the win. Reus Deportiu attempted a comeback with goals from Diego Rojas and Carles Casas, but Sergi Folguera added a fourth for the green-and-white side to confirm their spot in the semifinals.
