The Champions' Day ('Diada de les Colles Campiones'), held in El Vendrell, featured the Castellers de Vilafranca as the standout performers. The Vilafranca 'colla' presented a top-level exhibition, successfully completing two extra-gamma towers, including the 4 of 9 with 'folre i agulla' (a nine-level tower with 'folre' and 'agulla'), considered the earliest of its kind in history, and the pillar of 8 with 'folre i manilles'. They also completed the 3 of 9 with 'folre' and the 4 of 9 with 'folre'.
For their part, the Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls managed to load (carregar) their first 5 of 9 with 'folre' of the season, an extra-gamma tower that marks a turning point for the Valls 'colla'. Additionally, they completed the 3 of 9 with 'folre' and the 4 of 9 with 'folre', finishing their performance with the pillar of 7.
The Nens del Vendrell, as hosts of the event, demonstrated their skill by completing the 4 of 8 and the 5 of 7. However, their attempt at the tower of 7 remained a 'carregada' (loaded but not fully completed), a fact that did not diminish the excitement of the day.
The 'castell' gathering brought together three of the most prominent 'colles' in the current scene in El Vendrell, highlighting the high technical level and the spectacle offered, especially by the Castellers de Vilafranca, who delivered one of the most memorable performances of the early season.
